My How Time Flies!

Wow, I didn't realize how long it's been since I have updated our blog. We have just all been so busy. Besides work, Steve and I are both going to school part-time at Boise State. Steve just recently set up a new Professional website for himself. Please go and look at it when you have time. It's at www.modelmechanic.com. Steve is loving his classes and finding he likes going to school when it's not a "have to" sort of thing. Cody just finished working on the school musical, Beauty and the Beast. He was Le Fou (Gaston's constant companion). We told the directors it was type casting as Le Fou means The Fool! Cody didn't find that near as funny as we did! :0) Cody did a fabulous job. He has many fans in Caldwell with regards to his singing. He even got a letter from the Superintendent of Homedale School district telling him what a great job he did. We are very proud of him. Cody also went to the district solo contest and placed 3rd in district out of like 50 in his division. This is a pretty amazing feat for a sophomore. He is now slated as the first alternate to go to state if any one in the state in his division drops out. I do love hearing him sing. Kathyn has been busy doing a whole lot of nothing this winter besides school. She was hoping to get on a winter volleyball league but it fell through. We decided it would be a good thing for her to go out for track this year. She was not overly happy about this decision, but now that she has been practicing for 3 weeks she really likes it. Not so much for the running portion but for the field events. She loves throwing the discus, shotput and doing the high jump. We have had fun working on her four year plan for high school and getting her freshman year schedule lined out. I think if she could skip through the rest of her 8th grade year and the summer and start high school tomorrow she would do it in a heart beat. I've just been busy as usual with work, school and the kids. I haven't had much time to do anything else. So I'm looking forward to summer, although I will be taking classes then too, they won't be too labor intensive, which will be a nice change of pace. If I keep at it, I will be done with my bachelors degree in about 2 years. Well even though spring has sprung here in Idaho, we woke up this morning to a little snow on the ground, which the sun quickly melted. I am so looking forward to flowers blooming and the sun shining for the rest of this season and the summer!!
